All HKB boss kits are a ‘correct’ fit and fully featured for the application. They provide plug and play horn operation, indicator self cancelling, airbag light cancelling, Hicas operation and cruise control function amongst other features (depending on application).
What is HICAS? “NISSAN” High Capacity Actively-controlled Suspension is an abbreviation for 4-wheel steering. When you turn the steering wheel, the rear wheels momentarily move in the opposite direction to the front wheels, turning the vehicle inward. After that, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels and enter a stable turning state.
NISSAN <<Super High-Cast/ASCD equipped car>> It is often confused with what is called Hicas, Hicas 2, but these are the same as the general boss mounting method. Even in Super High-Cast cars, the genuine handle and rotation sensor are connected with a 3-pole coupler. The sensor is an independent type and rotates freely as a single unit. The rotation speed is stored in the in-vehicle computer. The basic principle of the car is to keep it straight and remove the steering wheel. Even if the steering is in neutral, if the tire is rotating, the sensor will memorize that amount and a malfunction will occur when the Super High-Cast operates at a speed of 30 km/h or more, and the warning lamp will light. Even if the top position of the boss is wrong, the same situation will occur, so if you do not know the top position or accidentally turn the sensor, look at the back side of the genuine handle and re-align the top position with the positive terminal of the battery for 1 minute. Remove it and set again.
