Genuine HKB Steering Wheel Boss Kits from Japan! These bosses are double drilled (multi stud) so work with both Nardi/Personal and Momo/Sparco/OMP steering wheels!
All HKB boss kits are a ‘correct’ fit and fully featured for the application. They provide plug and play horn operation, indicator self cancelling, airbag light cancelling, Hicas operation and cruise control function amongst other features (depending on application).
If the class and model are the same for the same model, the same part number will be used regardless of the grade name and body shape unless otherwise specified. Since the HKB boss kit is compatible with several vehicle models, a boss spacer (sold separately) may be required even if there is no special explanation in the compatibility table. After installing the boss, it is necessary if there is not enough clearance between the handle and the winker lever or the wiper lever. (Thickness of the boss spacer is available separately as variable type spacers with thicknesses of 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm and 15 mm to 30 mm.) When installing the boss kit, align the spline (vertical groove) at the center of the boss with the vertical groove of the shaft on the vehicle body by hand, and then tighten the nut. The tightening torque at this time is 3-4 kg/cm2â—‡. If tightened more than necessary, an abnormality will occur on the body side or the boss body. It is also difficult to remove.
What is HICAS? ． ． “NISSAN” High Capacity Actively-controlled Suspension is an abbreviation for 4-wheel steering. When you turn the steering wheel, the rear wheels momentarily move in the opposite direction to the front wheels, turning the vehicle inward. After that, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels and enter a stable turning state.
